During the past couple of months I have used every second of my quarantine at home to improve some aspect of my life.

I call this chapter of my life, ‘working on my self’.

Whether it was working on my mental health, physical health, friendships, or career- I have been intentional with every move I’ve made.

It was all thanks to a wake up call I had last year. Read my article for how to change your life for when you’re in the dumps.

Part of changing my life included steering myself in a career path that was most fitting for me.

I resented the job that I worked in for most of the pandemic. It was for a mediocre bank and paid an even more mediocre salary.

I’m not saying it was a complete waste of time spending almost 10 months there though. I’m extremely thankful for the steady paychecks, low maintenance manager and very low work load. And how can I forget? The work from home aspect was pretty awesome as well.

Tip 1: Networking

Despite cashing out of the steady paychecks and having a lot of time to myself at home, I still felt unfulfilled in my life.
