First off, let me start out by saying how grateful I am for having the real college experience. The experience of being able to make friends in person, attending class in person and freely moving around campus without the fear of a virus.

My heart goes out to the freshmen that started their first semester of college during the pandemic. I can’t imagine how different and difficult it is to make friends, especially since classes are online.

When I was in college, some of my favorite memories were made in the dining hall. I spent hours there with friends and acquaintances talking and laughing.

Looking back at my college years feels like a warm, happy dream. It feels so distant and surreal, like a utopia where everyone is skinny, happy, free and young. It doesn’t feel real, really.

Real life is outside of a college bubble. Real life is harder and feels like a lot of debt and an uphill battle

Thankfully, I didn’t graduate with a lot of debt. Partly because I graduated early but also because I used as many opportunities as possible to save money. I’m glad and thankful I knew what I knew in college but if I could go back in time and give myself advice, here’s what I would tell myself:
